My work spans early childhood development, K-12 education, and international education policy in under-resourced contexts across the United States, South Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia. I am interested in how research systems can serve frontline actors – district leaders, program designers, and policymakers – and how evidence can move from academic findings into decisions that shape children’s well-being.

My current work at the University of Virginia’s EdPolicyWorks focuses on a research-practice partnership with a school district in Colorado, where I design data systems and produce evidence to support student outcomes. Previously, I led evaluations and policy research at Oxford Policy Management and UNICEF Innocenti.

I hold a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Michigan State University. In my doctoral dissertation, I used mixed methods to examine how adult and parental involvement shapes early childhood outcomes across four countries — finding that engagement from non-parental household members significantly predicts children’s literacy, numeracy, and development.
